Located in the Groves are of York, Phoenix reflects the diverse cultures of the community it serves. We are a small preschool of 24 places with a tight-knit team of experienced staff eager to enrich your little one and nurture their creativity.

Morning Sessions
8:45 - 11:45am (3 - 5 year olds)
Lots of free flow play, inside and outside. Learning opportunities through play. Snack provided at 10am. Either stay for a full day or leave before dinner at 11.45am
11:45 - 12:15pm (3-5 year olds)
For children staying for our full day our lunch club runs 11.45-12.15. Pack up's only, lunch not provided
Afternoon Sessions
12:15 - 3:15pm (3 - 5 year olds)
Children arriving for their afternoon session will join those who have been at Preschool since the morning. Lots of free flow play, inside and outside. Learning opportunities through play. Snack provided at 2pm.
Our Rising five’s session take place on a Wednesday morning. Our school starters have a fantastic opportunity to go through to Park Grove where they can explore the reception area and meet the teachers. Alot of focus on school readiness.
Forest school
We share the wonderful outdoor spaces with Park Grove school- The field, Buzz garden, Playground, climbing frame, outdoor garden and woodland area.
We have certain days where we try to include forest school sessions in our little woodland area. The children have the opportunity to be involved in a group learning activity in the outdoors- from observational drawings to making bug hotels- we love exploring the outdoors.
Our preschool is located within Park Grove School, and as well as our own dedicated indoor space, we also have access to the outdoor play spaces, including the forest school and outdoor classroom.
Our team works closely with the Early Years team of Park Grove, to tie in planning and ensure smooth transitions for those children progressing onto Park Grove Primary Academy
On foot or two-wheels via Park Grove School main entrance off Park Grove. There is also access via Dudley street during school drop-off and pick up times. There is bike parking in front of school reception.
By car, turn onto Park Grove from Huntington Road. Access from Haxby road is restricted by one-way systems and bollards. Parking is restricted to residents permits only.
By bus routes 1, 5 and 5a (Haxby Road) or 13 and 14 (Huntington Road)
